Our Main Goals

Engaging Young People in Democratic Life

IncludeYOU will directly involve 295 young participants, among them 15 with fewer opportunities, in a wide range of activities that combine dialogue, debate, and collaborative learning. These young people will not be passive attendees but active contributors, shaping discussions with their perspectives and co-creating solutions for the future. By bringing together youth from different regions and backgrounds, the project fosters mutual learning and demonstrates that democracy is enriched when more voices are included.

Establishing Accessible Youth Contact Points

The project aims to create and strengthen youth contact points that serve as open and accessible hubs for information, services, and participation opportunities. These spaces act as bridges between young people and institutions, offering reliable resources on civic engagement, policy participation, and youth rights. By doing so, IncludeYOU ensures that young people can access support and guidance whenever they wish to become more actively involved in democratic life.

Promoting European Identity and Intercultural Understanding

A key ambition of IncludeYOU is to nurture a shared European identity while celebrating cultural diversity. Through cross-border activities and intercultural exchanges, the project helps young people to experience what it means to belong to a wider European community. Participants learn to value solidarity, tolerance, and cooperation across cultural and national boundaries, building stronger connections with one another and reinforcing the idea of Europe as a common democratic space.

Fostering Collaboration with Policymakers and Civil Society

IncludeYOU creates platforms where youth councils, policymakers, and civil society actors can come together in constructive dialogue. These collaborations strengthen the democratic process by ensuring that young people contribute not only as observers but as partners in policy design and evaluation. By establishing this dialogue at eye level, the project helps institutions become more responsive to the needs and expectations of younger generations.

Developing Sustainable Models for Youth Participation

Looking beyond its immediate activities, IncludeYOU seeks to develop sustainable and replicable models of youth participation. The project will test innovative formats for dialogue and co-creation, which can later be adopted by youth organisations, policymakers, and institutions across Europe. These models ensure that the practices introduced by IncludeYOU endure beyond the project’s lifetime, creating long-term impact on youth participation and policymaking processes.
